Theraplay Circle Time

What is Theraplay Support - Circle Time - Part of the role of Wave Connections CIC is to provide therapeutic interventions for children who have experienced developmental trauma. Theraplay® is one of the interventions used for this purpose.

Theraplay® is an attachment-based intervention and helps children build their trust in key adults in their lives, offer moments of joy and connection, supports children to allow adults to take care of them and helps to build children's confidence and self-esteem through attachement based play. Regulation is a learned behaviour and Theraplay® can help children who are struggling with this.

What To expect: 1 x parent meet with the practitioner. 6 x sessions with parent and child to participate with other parents and children thus, building social skills, self-esteem, confidence, improve emotional and behavioural regulation.
