Young Person who struggled in education, achieved A’s in her Leisure and Tourism qualification passing with Distinctions, has now left home to go to university. Below is parents Testimony:

“It has been a delight working with Carly and Wave Connections cicwith my daughter who was adopted at 21 months and suffered serious attachment issues. At first we attended sessions together and Carly was instrumental in allowing my child to gain trust and faith in our bond and to feel safe. These sessions were not always easy, but we were in a safe space held beautifully by Carly who guided us to repair any of the ruptures we had experienced. My daughter learnt how to incorporate her chaotic past into her identity and we saw her blossom from a hypervigilant teen into a confident young person who owns her stuff. They now have regular sessions without me and my daughter feels privileged to have someone so compassionate and understanding in her corner. Honestly our lives would be so different if we had never engaged with Wave Connections. We are very grateful."

“Thank you for guiding us through the adventures that has been the past year. You have helped us believe that we can make it through the hard times, helped us to find joy and laughter. And so much more. I don’t have the words. Yurt in the woods was such a special time. I thought you were mad to arrange it, thank you for believing in our young people’s capabilities. Precious time for them”.

​“I love how my child has painted you as a fairy! You are for us certainly one of the people who has come into our lives and been such a positive force. Your humour, creativity, empathy, insight into all the nuances, your wisdom and knowledge and acceptance of us all bee light or dark bits has given such an invaluable opportunity to grow stronger as a family. There are many nuggets of learning that we will take with us and will be in our family kit bag, Abundance hearty thanks”.

Little boy attended Camp and received Theraplay® parents testimony from camp:

​“I wanted to day thank you to you Sue, Carly, Laura, Richard, Stephanie, Cameron and the biggest draw Thor, for the truly lovely weekend. We felt very well looked after, my boy just loved it and the kids just gelled. He hopes you are doing it again next year. It was nice to meet other families. We have set up a family whats app group, so we can meet more often. Thanks again”.
