Welcome to Wave Connections website. Are you a professional, parent, carer or young person looking to enhance relationships & gain greater emotional well-being? If life has become hard to manage and hard to connect and gain joy from others, you have come to the right place. At Wave Connections we support adults and children who may have experienced trauma and /or experiencing fostering and adoption. We offer the following interventions:

Wave Connections CIC is a registered training provider with Continued Professional Development CPD Office. Based in Dorset, Wave Connections CIC is accredited with a number of local authorities and services in England: Pan Dorset, Aspire Adoption, Families For Children Adoption Agency, Fusion Fostering, Hampshire Local Authority: Adopt South, Cornwall Council, Bristol local authority: Adoption West, Somerset: Adopt South West, East Sussex, Bromley Permanency Service, Essex Local Authority, Wolverhampton, Adopt London South, Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch (BPC).
Wave Connections CIC was born out of a service named Little Blossoms Yoga that was established in 2010. The Director, Carly qualified as a social worker in 2002, working in looked after children's services since 1996. Working within the system, Carly wanted to find ways to engage and build relationships with children and ensure young people have a voice. In 2010 Carly trained as a Children's Yoga Therapist, Since 2010 Providing Yoga Intervention with children who experienced trauma, neglect and potential abuse and who are in care of local authority. Seeing the power of relationships and enhanced emotional well-being, Carly continued her career within adoption and fosterng services. Training in Attachment based interventions such as Theraplay and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and more recently training at The Institute of Arts and Psychotherapy, undertaking Therapeutic Arts, founded by Margot Sunderland. Assisting children to gain belonging, safety within relationships, to start to truely believe that a child can exist as part of another is truelove magic! Since 2013 these ways of getting alongside, bearing witness and walking the paths of adoptive and foster families has increased many families lives. 2022 saw the going live of Wave Connections, Community Interest Company - CIC. Carly grew up in a village and would like to emulate these ideas of a village raising a child. After bearing witness to the isolation trauma and attachment can cause, the CIC aims to bring together families, communities, children to build a community.
Attachment interventions are key to delivery of Wave Connections Programs. Using a neuro-sequential mode of working with children, ensuring the intervention matches the part of the brain a child mainly functions Within.
